OPENING TITLE SEQUENCE WINS AWARD

The opening credits for The Last Rescue have been awarded with a Gold Pixie Award. The Pixie Awards honor outstanding work in the fastest-growing area of the moving pixels industry: motion graphics, effects, and animation. The Last Rescue’s opening credit sequence was designed by Fireshoe team member Robert Payne, who also owns Payne Design Media. The credits highlighted amazing archival World War II photos from the U.S. National Archive. Using motion graphics, Robert Payne animated segments of the photos to bring them to life in creative ways (e.g. waves crashing around a launching sub, smoke is blowing around a burning building, planes in the sky are given movement, etc).
